I love to write

I have been writing in some form or fashion since my days as an awkward Middle Schooler. Now I’m an awkward adult and I still have fun writing!

In addition to writing, I love to draw and paint. In fact, I made the cover art for my book, The Mystery of Long Pine Key, as well as all of the illustrations within the book. And I did the self portrait pictured above too.

Here’s something not many people know about me: I spent a good portion of my childhood living in a cemetery in rural Hopewell, Virginia. That’s right. A cemetery! I don’t think I’ve been normal ever since!

When I’m not writing, drawing or painting, I can usually be found strumming a ukulele, reading a good mystery, hiking in the woods, riding my bike or paddling around in my canoe. I currently live in my hometown of Richmond, Virginia with my wife and a stubborn, but lovable little Jack Russell Terrier.
